Is this for real? Unlike other shutdowns caused by problems at various ISPs, this notice seems pretty final. You can see it here.

Well, the funniest, most honest, most pathetic, most misguided, most revealing blog on the internet is gone. Now that all of Casey's properties have been foreclosed, the original raison d'etre of the blog was probably gone, anyway. You could sense some of this problem in recent posts, where Casey showed what was in his wallet or wrote about his hopes to set up a foreclosure saving service of some vague kind.

Considering the sensation that was Iamfacingforeclosure, it is perhaps appropriate to thank Casey for laying everything out where people could see and comment on it all. While Casey can probably be labeled a fraudster, a failed real estate investor, lazy or misguided, his case is really not that different from the cases of a lot of other small-time investors who arrived late to the party, and are now getting burned.

In particular, the amount of detail supplied surrounding his family life was probably pretty stressful for Casey and everyone around him to deal with, looking at the whole situation with a 20/20 point of view.

What's next for for Casey, now that his blog fame days are over?

I hope a book and movie deal arrive sometime soon, with just enough green to pay off all those debts, with maybe a bit left over to buy a couple shots of wheatgrass.

Good luck Casey, and good-bye.

Check the Google cache while you can, if you care.
