Greenspan says he didn't know - it wasn't my fault!

Greenspan says he didn't know what was happening.

Really, when the only reason it was happening was the easy credit. Why wouldn't he know about that?

Oh yeah, and the billions floating around in the spending on a "war on terror"? All those billions spent had to go somewhere.

Higher real estate didn't seem like a likely outcome at the time, did it? Even though prices were going up, affordability was dropping and financial oversight was vanishing? A trend that continued for around 5-6 years before the fed started to raise rates.

Why is this man projected as a credible economic steward with a great economic understanding? He may well go down as either the biggest stooge or shill in US economic history.

Well, which is it Al - did you know, or were you just a dupe of the system?

Meanwhile, Al tours around now blaming the administration and everyone else involved for what happened. Yeah, that makes sense.

Not that I don't blame Bush's policies, but where was Al at the time? Collecting his paycheque, that's where. Al wasn't challenging the administration while he was in any position to actually do anything, while anything like his job might be at stake.

Thanks Al, for acting based on such high principle. Your opinion means a lot, when you are out shilling on a book tour to justify your advance.

I beg you all, please don't buy Easy Al's memoirs.
