This piece from Reuters puts forward the argument that problems have not spread to the point where the major institutions can't handle things, and in fact, the markets are better left to work this sub-prime problem out, rather than waiting for the fed to get involved.
I bet they love hearing that kind of reasoning on Wall Street.
